I'll tell you about Red River and what it meant to my parents before me. Dad's dream was to own a farm in Red River bottom.  "I want to own me a Red River farm with a fishin' hole. That way when I can't make a living farmin'; fishin' can come to my rescue."  That was Mother's dream too.
 
I grew up wanting to make a living from Red River, just like Dad. Let me tell you how I have made a living since 1986. 

Red River provided me with sticks and stories and became my classroom.  I'll tell you how I became the Red River Scholar.
