I was so pumped up, so motivated by the success of my Texas Folklore paper I started writing a weekly article, Backyard Discoveries, which I sold to North Texas e-News.
I also wrote a 4 part article entitled Submissive Hunting Techniques, which North Texas e-News published. Mississippi Parks and Wildlife was so impressed with the article they linked their viewers to North Texas e-News.
Writing the paper I delivered to the Texas Folklore Society created in me a desire to write about my family surviving on a Red River farm after the Great Depression. I wrote down everything I could remember, about my childhood days. I came to realize that my brother and I grew up during the fading innocence of country life; the coming of electricity caused that. I realized that Red River was my family's river of dreams. I named my family saga River of Dreams.
Suddenly family duty called and I was going to have more time to write and no time to build dogwood hoop furniture.
