Delton my younger brother, Dad in the middle and me on the right. Dad's 54 pound flathead catfish in the middle.
Dad and a 46 pound flathead catfish.
I was intrigued by the big flathead catfish Dad caught out of Red River, an infatuation I carry with me until this day. I'm still trying to beat his 54 pound record; but so far 52 pound is my largest flathead.
After surviving a long hard winter Dad was always ancious for fishing season to begin. I can still hear him laying down the law about fishing season. "Fishin' season begins in the spring, as soon as you can stick your big toe in Red River and your eyeballs don't pop out!"
