Place a ClickyStick between your index and middle finger, it becomes the anvil, and is held stationary.

Place the second ClickyStick between your middle finger and your ring finger, it becomes the hammer and is allowed to rock and click against the anvil.

Settle your fingers into the finger grooves in the middle of the ClickySticks and relax. As the music starts, pick up the rhythm and the beat of the song, and then relax your hold on the hammer. Appling pressure to the stationary bone with the middle finger holds it against the heel of your thumb. The greater the pressure the more base the clicks; less pressure gives more treble. The ring finger keeps the hammer in line with the anvil. Consistency in the way you hold ClickySticks, every time you play, is the key to clicking.
