LECTURER
The year of 1998 was the beginning of my transformation from Dogwood Furniture Designer to Author. After I received the award from the Texas Forestry Association for my Nanny Rocker the Texas Folklore Society came calling. I was asked to present a paper. The following is an excerpt from their program schedule.

83rd ANNUAL MEETING OF THE TEXAS FOLKLORE SOCIETY
MIDLAND, TEXAS — APRIL 1-3, 1999

Friday April 2

Session 2: 10:30 a.m.-12:00 noon

“Wildwood Dean” Price (Bonham) “Survival Value in Fannin County, Texas
-Then and Now.”

"Survival Value in Fannin County, Texas — Then and Now" Was Published in The Best of Texas Folklore Volume I and II, Writer’s AudioShop, ISBN-10:1880717492. It was also published in The Family Saga: A collection of Texas Family Legends, University of North Texas Press, ISBN-10:1574411683.

I decided I wanted to write and give lectures.

Ten years later, April 10, 2009, I presented my second paper to the Texas Folklore Society at their 93rd annual meeting in Nacgodoches, Texas. The title of it was "Skills of the Rivermen: Ways and Means of Market fishermen."
