While I was taking care of my family I started writing Treasure River and River of Dreams. Getting them published was farther from my mind than it is to the moon. It wasn't until after North Texas eNews called and wanted me to start writing a weekly column ... Backyard Discoveries that I got interested in pursuing publishing my books. For the next 20 weeks Backyard Discoveries followed me down Red River on a 14-day, 400-mile journey, sub-titled Seeing Red. I gained experience writing and really became serious about my new-found passion. Following Backyard Discoveries I wrote a weekly series about the things I learned regarding deer behavior while gathering material for my furniture building. The name of it was Submissive Hunting Techniques,a 7 chapter work that recorded every thing I learned about Whitetail deer habits and their nature. Mississippi Parks and Wildlife was so impressed with the article they linked their viewers to my article.
